Optimize Advisor Portal – Glassmorphism UI Concept
Project type
3D, 2D Animation
Overview: This project reimagines the digital workspace for financial advisors, transforming a standard data portal into a tactile, premium user experience. The concept focuses on depth, light, and materiality to organize complex financial data—such as CRM tools, fund reports, and market research—into a clean, digestible hierarchy.
Design Philosophy & Aesthetic Moving away from traditional flat UI, this project explores a frosted glass (glassmorphism) aesthetic.
Inspiration: Heavily influenced by the high-fidelity motion design work of Tendril (specifically their Microsoft collaborations), the design aims to make digital elements feel like physical objects.
Visual Language: The use of translucent layers, soft-touch bevels, and calculated depth of field creates a sense of separation between the foreground content and the background, ensuring clarity while maintaining a sophisticated atmosphere.
Technical Workflow
Asset Preparation (Figma & Illustrator): The foundation of the project began with the existing brand site. I extracted UI components, typography, and iconography via Figma and refined the vector artwork in Adobe Illustrator.
3D Modeling (Blender): Using the site assets as a direct reference, I 3D modeled each card, button, and navigation element to give them physical volume. Every UI component was treated as a "physical" plate of glass with specific thickness and refractive properties.
Rendering (Cycles): I utilized Blender's Cycles engine to accurately simulate light transmission and surface roughness. This was essential for the "frosted" look, diffusing light naturally to keep text legible against a premium, blurred background.
Compositing (After Effects): Final render passes were composited in Adobe After Effects, where I added subtle chromatic aberration, bloom, and organic lens effects to ground the UI in a cinematic reality. Finally i animated the company Logo with a brand shape acting as a impact as it lands in - with the accompanying text following after.
